Sacred Ground: Perspectives on Peace and Conflict
a multi-disciplinary, interactive installation at Alverno College Art & Cultures Gallery
Milwaukee, WI, USA

Dara Larson and Valerie J. Christell, artists who teach at Alverno College

“Throughout the exhibition, viewers held conversations about peace and conflict. They also created collaborative artwork, and individual books for display.

The installation of Sacred Ground contained many interactive elements that allowed viewers to leave sacred objects or artifacts or to create artists books to place on display. There was an area where gallery visitors could log into the ‘Peace Portal’ to look at many global initiatives. A video and reading room contained peace studies information.”
